Sony Adds Pair Of Vaio E Series Laptops

Sony will bring two more E series laptops soon which should be available over the next few weeks and will both be sporting Microsoft's Windows 7 Home Premium operating system.
The smaller model has a 14-inch screen that has a resolution of 1600x900 pixels with a Core i3-330M processor clocked at 2.13GHz. The bigger model has a 17.3-inch model with a full HD resolution (that's 1920x1080 pixels); the processor is an i5-430M wuith Turboboost.
Both E Series notebooks come with 4GB RAM, 500GB hard disk drives, ATI Radeon video modules (512MB HD 5145 for the first one, 1GB HD 5650 for the bigger version), HDMI and eSATA ports, WiFi, Bluetooth, a Chiclet keyboard, a webcam and a boot option that brings up your browser without launching the main OS.
In addition, the 17-inch version comes with a Bluray player and will come only in black or white with a price tag of £700. In comparison, the 14-inch model will additionally come in blue, pink or green colours and will cost around £500.
Both will be available from May 2010 and will be pitched by Sony as "perfect for everyday browsing, blogging or simply enjoying your digital media collection", just in time for the summer.
